Telehealth Informed Consent

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Fresher Health connects you with independent, US-licensed clinicians through telehealth. Telehealth means a clinician evaluates and treats you using online questionnaires, messaging, and, when needed, video or phone, instead of an in-person visit. Please read this consent before you request care.

What telehealth can and cannot do

  • Your clinician relies on the information you provide. Answer every question completely and honestly, and tell us about any change in your health.
  • Some conditions cannot be safely treated without an in-person exam. Your clinician may decline to treat you and may direct you to in-person care.
  • Requesting a treatment does not guarantee a prescription. Every prescribing decision is the independent professional judgment of the licensed clinician who reviews your case.
  • Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Risks and limits

  • Information sent over the internet can be delayed or, rarely, interrupted. If a technical failure interrupts your care, we will contact you using the details on your account.
  • Without a physical exam, a clinician may miss something that an in-person visit would find.
  • A clinician may not be able to treat you if you are located in a state where they are not licensed. You confirm that the state you give us is where you will be when you receive care.

Your rights

  • You may stop using telehealth at any time and seek in-person care instead. Stopping does not affect your right to future care.
  • You may ask questions about your treatment, the clinician's qualifications, and the alternatives, before you agree to anything.
  • You may request a copy of your medical record at any time.

Privacy

Your health information is protected under our Privacy Policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices. The people who can see your information are the clinicians treating you, the pharmacy filling your prescription, and the staff who support your care, each only as far as their role requires.

Your agreement

By checking the telehealth consent box at checkout you confirm that you have read this document, that you understand telehealth has the limits described above, that the information you give us is true, and that you consent to receive care from Fresher Health's clinicians by telehealth.
